Helps inhibit the production of melanin, clears skin and refines texture with Hydroquinone, Retinol, and Glycolic Acid while Algowhite lightens and illuminates skin.
Recommended For
Hyperpigmentation, uneven tone, aging, sun damage, dull complexions, pre- and post- treatment
Directions
Apply a small amount to target areas up to two times daily. Limit daily use to six months, wait 1-2 months before resuming treatment. Reduce the frequency of use or discontinue if irritation occurs.
Active Interest
2% Hydroquinone - A tyrosinase-inhibitor derived from potatoes. It works by inhibiting production of melanin by turning off the melanocytes. Hydroquinone can case skin irritation in some people. Sun protection is necessary while using hydroquinone or any other tyrosinase-inhibitors. 1% Retinol - Regulates growth and differentiation of epithelial cells and decreases inflammation. Topical retinoids promote the normalization of follicular epithelial desquamation and reduce cellular cohesion, promoting drainage of existing comedones and preventing the development of microcomedones (the precursors of all acne lesions.) 1% Glycolic Acid - This is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sugarcane. Glycolic acid has a very small molecular size, which allows it to penetrate and be absorbed by the epidermis more quickly than other AHAs. AHAs in general are used to treat photoaging because they improve uneven pigmentation, smooth fine lines and improve skin texture. They increase desquamation and exfoliation, thinning the stratum corneum and increasing skin flexibility; synthesis of glycosaminoglycans and collagen increases. Ascophyllum Nodosum Extract (algowhite) - A marine skin brightening active that reduces melanin synthesis by stimulating cellular renewal that encourages the elimination of melanin by means of migration towards the strateum corneum.
